Hello? Do my eyes deceive? Is this the same Yan who should be dutifully sitting at the table and doing Math? Is the big 'O' not less than a few days away? Ahem. 'O' levels, not the other big 'O' I know you're thinking about, you dirty person you.
Yes that's right. I'm sitting at the computer. And blogging. Why, you might ask. Because I've had enough of Math and tuition and studying. I have seen enough of Naga to last me for a couple of lifetimes, and trust me, he ain't very pretty. I need, no, I deserve some free time to myself and to nudge this blog which has been dead for awhile.
Besides, I am studying. Kind of. I'm using the computer to study. Yes, that's right. And I found this Shakespearean Insult Generator. Funny stuff. Put some new blood into the modern-day insults.
Thou dankish knotty-pated lewdster!
Thou puking ill-nurtured puttock!
Thou gleeking urchin-snouted strumpet!
Thou mammering common-kissing canker-blossom!
Thou villainous swag-bellied coxcomb!
Funny. But then again, I have no idea what they mean. Is canker-blossom really an insult? Sounds kinda pretty. But then again, it's Shakespeare. I love that guy. He's so amusing. Luckily we didn't do Romeo and Juliet. That's so...passe. And Juliet is so sappy. She's always "Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?"-ing. (And is it really necessary to repeat his name so many times? I mean, surely the guy must know his own name.)
The Math book beckons me. Or rather, commands me. Alas! Parting is such sweet sorrow, that I shall say good night till it be morrow! Go figure.

Funday. Went to J8 with May to eat brunch and do eyebrows. Ate Delifrance which started out a little weird cos May was late and I was waiting for her alone and the waitresses kept giving me strange looks. Had to tell them I was waiting for someone. We had time to kill after doing eyebrows so went to look at shoes and...I bought a new pair of shoes! Yay! I looove them. May was dressed all in black. Black top, skirt, stilettos, bag, earrings, even her nails were black. Sherwin met us after he went to the hospital to visit his grandma. He doesn't appear to be overly concerned with her deteriorating health. Tsk heartless. He saw May's bag and started saying that it looked like the lanterns during Mooncake Festival and he was like "Lantern bag haha!" and the name stuck.
Went to Wheelock cos May wanted to see crumpler bags for her bro. Got this huge black one that's kinda understated cool. And it costs a cool $179 or around there. Mooched around and we went to Pacific Plaza. May's shoes were killing her so I gave her mine to wear. But it was too big for her so she had to be real careful or they'd drop. It sucks having sampan feet. Sherwin bought a sweatshirt at Quiksilver. He thought the salesguy was an ex-Mayflowerian but me and May had never seen him before. Then we started scrutinising him and May was like, "I'll ask him." But she didn't. Hahaha.
Headed to Scotts cos there was Celia Loe and we wanted to look at prom dresses. I mean me and May, not Sherwin of course. If he wanted to look at prom dresses, there'd be something seriously wrong. Scotts is like for the rich taitais and obviously none of us was one. We sat on a bench outside Celia Loe for about 5mins comtemplating if we should go in. Eventually we chickened out. Sherwin said Perfect In Black was there and went to look. But it closed down already. Damn.
May decided she wanted to go City Hall and get her NUM bag. Sherwin adamantly refused cos he hated NUM. It's real funny. We were at the underpass and they were squabbling pretty loudly and I was walking waaay behind trying to look like I didn't know them. May wheedled left and right and up and down and still Sherwin refused. Finally we agreed to just go City Hall first and grab a bite.
Ate at New York New York. Really nice place. Their calamari is nicer than Cafe Cartel's. Started taking photos of everything. Life's fun when you have a digicam. Sherwin finally agreed to go NUM and get May's bag. The salesguy was like gesturing to the bag that May wanted and saying, "That bag's got a name. It's called Jolie. And the one over there is Brad." HAHAHA. That was sooo funny. Actually I can't really see the point in that. But we laughed politely.
Sherwin paid for both the crumpler and May's NUM bag. That's so nice of him.
But May has to pay him back. Got you going there for awhile didn't I? Ha.
We all headed home. May was moaning and groaning cos of her damn blister. See lah, wear stilettos and that's what you get. Tsk. I was so nice to accompany her all the way home to make sure that she didn't fall down and die along the way.
Tralala. Shall post my photos in my next post. That is when I figure out how to compress them.

Watching Singapore Idol for pure lack of better things to do. Why in the world is Paul and Joakim still in the running? They can't sing. I totally can't believe what Jacintha said about Paul. She was like, "I think for once, you're focusing on your vocals instead of your hair." Or something along those lines. Hello? Ever occured to her that there's nothing to him apart from his hair? Sheesh. But I thought Jasmine was pretty good, despite her cutesy-pie-mildly-twit-like personality and all. Her vocals are not bad, at least better than the rest of them. Jonathan was pretty good.
Tomorrow's Teacher's Day. Not that I really care. I mean, I really don't care much for the teachers in MF. So I've decided to pon. I hope Ms Balan doesn't come across this blog. But then again, considering how some of the guys have been broadcasting their ponning on their blogs, I don't see why I'm even in remote danger, especially since I'm such a good student. At least I can laze around for once. I haven't ponned for let's see...I haven't the faintest idea. Was it last year after SYF? I think so. Woah. That's long. Damn I'm good.
Oh and Gurmit can't host. That was random. Oh oh there's a round 2. How much more of this can I take?! And I'm still watching it. I seriously need to get cable. Ooo Xtina. Not bad. Jasmine's spunky lah. I hope she wins. After Matilda got out (quite unfairly I might add), I've decided to root for Jasmine. And maybe Jonathan. Seriously, this isn't a singing competition. It's a freaking popularity contest. And just who died and made me Queen of the Universe? If it really was a singing competition, Matilda would NEVER have gotten out. Ever. But just because she's a teensy bit on the plump side, BAM! She's out.
Ah well. I suppose we should get used to this. I think I'll go and mug for Chem mock test. Or maybe not. There's Project Runway later and it's the last ep! Even though the winner's already been announced online since dunno when. I really really should get cable man. Go Chloe! She totally rocks. I think Daniel's cool. Looks kinda like a vampire. In a good sense.
To May and Lining: I'm sorry.

Lalala humdrum days of finishing last minute homework, tuition homework, remedials, which means more homework, studying, chinese homework and yet more homework.
B3 for chinese, not that fantastic. It's kinda sad but I knew that I wasn't gonna score when I finished paper 1. I was daydreaming for goodness sake. Then I screwed up oral because I was so freaking nervous. But alas! That's over and done so I'm retaking. And they restreamed us so we have Mdm Koh now. She's really good but bombs us with bombastic chinese verses that I can't always catch. And she gives a ton of homework. Yes May, now I understand your plight. Still I suppose it's for our own good.
While I was so studiously doing math (ahem), there was a lot of ruckus outside the class. I glared outside to see a couple of sec1s ogling Eden (if he ever reads this: HAHA). I mean hello? When I was in sec1, I didn't even know any sec4s, much less spend half my recess ogling them. And they were asking all sorts of question like does he have a girlfriend and all. Sheesh. They even have his number. Poor Eden. Poor poor Eden. Plagued by a couple of munchkins.
Yay we're going Huayi tomorrow for combined practice! So exciting. And we're playing all the old songs like Spirited Away, Disco Party, Winter of 1730 and such. It's been such a long time. I really should be doing chinese but I don't feel like it. Procrastinator. I still have half a compo to do and planning. Mdm Koh is ruthless I tell ya. My chinese deproved, all thanks to some flirt of a teacher. I mean she doesn't even teach. All she does is give us work and wander off somewhere. I really wonder what the hell she's so busy with. So I guess it's a good thing that I have Mdm Koh as my teacher. Although now as I'm rushing through my compo, I'm not so sure.
Alright time to get started on stupid homework. Oh no I still have tuition homework to do. Bleagh. Ah well.

After much prodding from May, I've finally come to blog. Even though I haven't bathed nor finished my tuition homework. But I guess they can wait, because SHE asked me to blog. Oh the things I do for her~
We started our own catchphrases. Here is a list.
May: What's it to you?
Sherwin: What's it to you?
That's it.
Nah I'm kidding. Ok the real deal.
May - What's it to you? Whatev (whatever, as popularised by her bro)
Sherwin - What's it to you? Mou yong ge kah forh (phrase in cantonese which roughly means useless fellow) Fei zhai (roughly means fat fellow in canton) That's KAH-RAY-ZEE.
Lining - Usually some weird and funny noise. No idea how to spell them. And she's thinking about one that might be spellable.
Me - Whatever. Do you love it? And a whole other batch of random stuff.
Cool ain't it? Ok not really. It'll be a lot funnier if you heard us say them.
I have a whole batch of tuition homework. Just finished algebra which had about 30+ questions. But Lining said they're very short questions so it's chicken feet. And I'm like whatever. See, catchphrases coming into use already. Then I have two graphs and about 10 questions on circles. Whoop good luck to me! And there's math mock exam tomorrow. Kill me.
Life is sooo fun. There's remedials and tuition and homework and tuition and remedials and homework. Yippee! And o's are less than 3mths away. Yay! Oh joy rapture exhilaration! I'm so whatever. But seriously, I think the stress is getting to us. I feel like falling sick and skipping school even for a day. It does not help that my tuition teacher has not much mercy whatsoever. He's like 'I don't expect you to do all but it would be good if you did.' Like, obvious much? He makes me feel bad.
He's so smart lah. He's taking Masters in Electronic Engineering. Yawn. He stares at a sum for about 5sec and he's all 'I've got the answer'. Sheesh. I haven't even deciphered half of it! Electronic engineers are not people to mess with. Actually I don't think he's that good a teacher, cos sometimes he speaks too fast and I feel kinda bad asking him to repeat for so many times. But I can't sack him, cos he's my dad's friend. Oh well.
My eyes are drying up. I suppose I should go offline and really do homework soon. Ha. And if you believe that, I've got a bridge to sell you.

Wild Wild Wet. What a wonderful place. Full of wet people. And wild ones too. Hence the name, I guess.
Right.
My mum's cooking dinner and it smells real good. And my dad's watching some weird chinese show. And May prodded me to come online. Properly. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. Which wasn't very long anyway.
It was fun! Wild Wild Wet I mean. Fun fun fun. Boy oh boy was it fun! Damn it sure was fun. Now I sound fake. But it really was fun. And we got majorly sunburnt. Cool aint it? Ok May would totally beg to differ, but at least I got darker. And Lining too. And the rest of the population there.
So we went there early in the morning, like when they opened. Then May had something personal to do, which I won't elaborate. But you can ask her if you want *wink. We were all settled and ready to roar! There was me, May, Lining, Isabelle, Theodora and Huiwen.
Basically, WWW has three main attractions. The Samsung, Waterworks and Ular-lah. The Samsung is freaking cool. Its a 2-person ride and you sit on a raft facing each other. Then the lifeguard will push you off onto this almost vertical slide. It's kinda like Viking Ship only that you're sliding on a raft. The 2nd time I sat with Lining, the lifeguard was like 'Ready. Go.' We almost died. We weren't even hanging onto the handles properly! WTH. Lining had a slight brain concussion after that. Waterworks are two body slides, one enclosed and one open. The enclosed one was scary. I mean, I was scared. The others were real nonchalant about it. Its so creepy lah. I mean it was pitch dark inside. I resolved never to go on that again. But don't tell May and Lining. Ular-lah was funny. It's this six-person raft and you go sliding up and down, kinda like a roller-coaster. And they take pictures of you, so we were all going again and again in order to get a nice picture. Ha. (And for the amount of money they spent on WWW, you'd think they had named it better than 'Ular-lah'.)
But the irritating thing is that, for every ride, you gotta climb stairs. Esp Samsung. And we had to drag the raft up with us. Let me assure you that it's a freaking heavy raft. Anyway, we had Pizzahut for lunch and it was back to the river for us. The river is this swimming pool thingy where people kinda lounge in it. It's quite fun but gets boring after awhile. Then there was the tsunami thing. It's a wave pool lah basically. You had to be on a float at all times, but we tried to get close to the edge with just the life-jackets cos more fun, and this lifeguard kept looking at us. We were like wth, he kept looking at us also never say anything. Sheesh.
So we got majorly burnt, well, at least me, May and Lining did. And we're peeling now. But it was really fun :)
And tomorrow we're going out with Jonathan to Seoul Garden. I shall go help May decide if she wants to buy the Zara jacket. And Lining ignored me online :(
Till next time y'all!
